The Junior Sales Representative (Project Sales) will be responsible for supporting the growth of the project sales portfolio by developing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, architects, distributors, and project owners.
The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, driving sales of the company's construction materials and building solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. Working closely with the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to business growth by building lasting customer partnerships, providing technical product support, and ensuring customer satisfaction across assigned projects.
Key responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new project sales opportunities.
Visit construction sites regularly to monitor project progress.
Identify specification opportunities with consultants and architects.
Track project timelines and procurement schedules.
Coordinate product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Support product trials and sample distribution.
Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, architects, and project owners.
Conduct regular customer visits to generate new business.
Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
Assist in negotiating commercial terms with customers.
Monitor the progress of active projects and identify upcoming opportunities.
Promote the company's products and solutions to existing and potential customers.
Coordinate with the technical team to provide product recommendations and application support.
Resolve customer concerns in collaboration with internal departments.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
Maintain accurate customer records and project information.
Update the CRM or sales database with customer visits and opportunities.
Prepare sales forecasts when requested.
Follow company sales procedures and documentation requirements.
Minimum requirements:
Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related fields
At least 3 years’ experience working in a sales role with proven track record of achieving sales targets, preferably in construction materials or building products
Previous experience in the construction industry will be advantageous
Basic understanding of construction products, especially construction chemicals, or willingness to learn quickly.
Commercial awareness – ability to identify opportunities and action
Operating in business-to-business environment
Experience with selling new concepts and products - ability to explain product features, benefits, applications, and usage to customers.
Self-motivated and willing to spend significant time in the field
Proven technical competence – understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate for commercial benefit
