IT Sales EngineerAbout the PositionWe are looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Sales Engineer to join our team.The ideal candidate will have a good technical understanding of IT products and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers. The role combines IT product sales, customer consultation, product demonstrations, quotations, and basic technical support.Key ResponsibilitiesSell computers, laptops, networking equipment, printers, accessories, software, and other IT productsUnderstand customer requirements and recommend appropriate IT solutionsExplain technical specifications and differences between products to customersPrepare quotations and commercial offersRespond to customer inquiries and follow up on sales opportunitiesMaintain strong relationships with existing and potential customersAssist customers with product selection based on their budget and requirementsDemonstrate products and explain features and benefitsCoordinate product orders with suppliersMonitor stock availability and communicate product availability to customersAssist with inventory and product information managementSupport basic installation, configuration, and troubleshooting when requiredStay up to date with new IT products, technologies, and market trendsMeet agreed sales targets and contribute to business growthRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldPrevious experience in IT sales, technical sales, or an IT-related business is preferredGood knowledge of computers, laptops, networking equipment, printers, and IT accessoriesAbility to understand and explain technical specificationsStrong communication and customer-service skillsGood negotiation and sales skillsAbility to prepare professional quotations and sales proposalsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and WordAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong interest in technology and willingness to learn new productsAdvantageous SkillsExperience with the following will be an advantage:Laptop and desktop specificationsNetworking products such as routers, switches, access points, and firewallsServers and storageCCTV and security systemsPrinters and office equipmentMicrosoft products and licensingIT procurement and supplier managementCorporate/B2B IT salesGovernment or institutional IT procurementERP, POS, or inventory systemsKey Qualities We Are Looking ForSales-oriented and results-drivenTechnically knowledgeableProfessional and presentableExcellent communication skillsCustomer-focusedHonest and reliableGood at building long-term customer relationshipsAble to learn new products quicklyComfortable working toward sales targets
