About The Role & Our Client On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company in Ethiopia , we are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Sales to drive project sales and business development across a portfolio of building and industrial solutions. Our client is a well-established industry leader with a strong presence in the manufacturing and distribution of construction and industrial products. Renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer excellence, the company continues to expand its market presence through strategic partnerships and technical solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing project sales, securing product specifications, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market opportunities through contractors, consultants, developers, and channel partners. Key Responsibilities Drive sales growth by identifying and converting new project opportunities. Build and manage a strong project sales pipeline and sales forecasts. Secure product specifications with consultants, architects, developers, and project stakeholders. Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, applicators, consultants, developers, and key accounts. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer engagement activities. Support project tendering, pricing, and commercial negotiations. Develop and strengthen dealer and distributor networks. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. Maintain CRM records and prepare regular sales and market intelligence reports. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is an advantage. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (or 8 years with a Master's degree) in project sales, technical sales, or business development. Experience in paints, coatings, waterproofing, construction chemicals, building materials, or related industries is highly desirable. Required Skills Strong project sales and business development capabilities. Experience in specification selling and contractor engagement. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Knowledge of BOQ interpretation, tender management, and commercial negotiations. Strong communication skills with excellent command of English. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
