Job Summary
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. The position requires strong experience in financial management within manufacturing or mining environments, including cost control, budgeting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily accounting and financial operations
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes for project operations
Perform detailed financial analysis to support management decisions
Ensure proper maintenance of financial records in compliance with company policies and IFRS standards
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management
Review and approve payments, invoices, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and statutory requirements
Coordinate internal and external audit activities
Strengthen internal control systems and financial procedures
Support project finance activities, particularly for site operations
Provide financial guidance to operational and project teams
Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s is an added advantage)
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing or mining industry
Prior experience in a mining environment is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost accounting
Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Practical experience in analysis related to the Profit & Losses statement and Balance Sheet.
Practical experience with different tax submissions (VAT, WHT, Corporate Income Tax).
