This is an excellent opportunity to work on varied projects including pedestrian and cycle route improvements, traffic calming measures, speed limit reviews, pedestrian crossings, and waiting restriction schemes. You will be responsible for managing scheme delivery from initial concept through to construction completion. Key Responsibilities Design and supervise traffic engineering schemes from conception to implementation Liaise with in-house teams on elements such as street lighting, structures and traffic signals Prepare construction information and Health & Safety documentation in accordance with CDM Regulations Monitor project budgets and programme delivery Carry out public consultations and engage with residents, councillors and parish councils Work with legal teams to advertise Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) Prepare objection reports and supporting documentation for senior management approval Provide design support during the construction phase and attend site visits as required About You Qualified Traffic Engineer with relevant highways and traffic engineering experience Strong knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) Thorough understanding of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and Traffic Signs Manual Experience preparing and delivering traffic management and highway improvement schemes Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences Experience providing design input during construction Full, current UK driving licence and willingness to attend site visits Apply Job Alert
