Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Application Specialist. The position will primarily support our endoscopy portfolio and will also provide clinical application support for critical-care technologies, particularly ventilators. The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on clinical experience with training, customer support, field engagement, and marketing activities. Key Responsibilities • Provide on-site clinical application training and after-sales support to hospitals and healthcare professionals using Starchain Medical’s endoscopy and critical-care equipment. • Train endoscopy nurses and other users on safe and effective endoscope handling, use, cleaning, disinfection/reprocessing, storage, and related good practices before, during, and after procedures. • Support ICU teams in the safe and effective clinical use of ventilators and related critical-care technologies. • Conduct post-installation follow-up visits, refresher trainings, user competency support, and troubleshooting from a clinical application perspective. • Participate in equipment commissioning, handover, demonstrations, workshops, and customer education programs. • Attend and actively participate in virtual and in-person technical and clinical trainings conducted by international suppliers and manufacturers. • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to communicate the clinical value of products, conduct demonstrations, support customer engagement, and contribute to business-development activities. • Collect user feedback and identify clinical training needs and opportunities for improvement. • Travel to healthcare facilities as required to provide training and clinical support. Minimum Qualifications & Experience • BSc degree in Nursing or a closely related nursing qualification. • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on clinical experience. • Demonstrated practical experience working in an endoscopy unit is required. • ICU/critical-care nursing experience is highly preferred. • Excellent command of spoken and written English is essential, including confidence participating in professional meetings and manufacturer-led trainings. • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and adult-training skills. • Comfortable using computers and participating in virtual meetings and online trainings. • Willingness to work full-time and travel frequently to customer sites. Additional Advantages • Professional certificates or additional training in endoscopy, endoscope reprocessing/infection prevention, ICU, mechanical ventilation, or related areas. • Previous experience as a clinical educator, trainer, application specialist, or medical-device professional. • Interest in transitioning from a purely clinical environment into a healthcare technology and business environment. • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Megenagna, Addis Ababa.
