Finance Assistant

Number Required: 1 The Finance Assistant will support daily accounting activities, financial recordkeeping, cash and bank transactions, document management, and coordination with local suppliers, employees, and government offices. Key Responsibilities Enter daily financial transactions and organize purchase invoices, sales receipts, and reimbursement vouchers. Assist with petty cash management, bank deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Maintain cash and bank journals and support reconciliation activities. Communicate with local suppliers, clients, and factory workers regarding invoices, account balances, and payroll-related matters. Help verify purchase documents and inventory records for raw materials and support basic cost calculations. Organize and archive financial vouchers, contracts, and tax documents. Assist Chinese finance staff and management with coordination involving local tax authorities, including the Ministry of Revenues. Qualifications and Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Good English proficiency for written communication and oral reporting to Chinese management. Fluency in Amharic and proficiency in Afaan Oromoo. No prior work experience is required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word. Familiarity with Ethiopian tax systems or accounting software such as Peachtree is an advantage. Experience in factory or manufacturing finance, accounting, or cashier roles is an advantage. Honesty, reliability, attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong communication skills. Ability to adapt to a factory working environment. Preferred Skill: Accounting.
