Role Description
The Reporter at Business Analyst Club will cover stories, insights, and developments related to business analysis, technology, and data-driven decision-making. This full-time on-site role, based in Bahir Dar, involves researching and gathering information, conducting interviews, and producing clear, accurate news articles and reports for various club platforms. The Reporter will create multimedia content where needed, collaborate with club members and subject matter experts, and ensure timely coverage of events, initiatives, and industry trends. Daily responsibilities include fact-checking, revising content based on editorial feedback, and maintaining ethical and professional reporting standards. The Reporter will also contribute ideas for story angles and content series that support the club’s mission and community engagement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills to produce accurate, engaging, and timely stories.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Writing skills to convey complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
Candidates should possess Multimedia skills, such as basic photography, audio/video recording, or content editing, to support digital storytelling.
Candidates should have solid research abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to journalistic integrity and fact-checking.
Relevant experience in journalism, media, or business-related reporting is beneficial, along with familiarity with business analysis or tech topics.
A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Bahir Dar, manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
