Hotel Manager

YES is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established serviced apartment hotel located in central Addis Ababa. The property serves business travelers, conference delegates, diplomatic guests, and long-stay visitors with full hotel services, including daily housekeeping, on-site food and beverage, and guest transport. Please note that the client's identity will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates during the interview process.We are seeking a General Manager who will hold full operational and financial responsibility for the property, reporting directly to ownership. Key responsibilities include:  - Operations & Guest Experience: Leading daily operations across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and security to consistently deliver high guest satisfaction and ratings.  - Revenue & Financial Management: Managing the annual budget and P&L, controlling costs, setting pricing, and driving revenue through direct channels, corporate/diplomatic accounts, and OTAs (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia).  - Team Leadership: Recruiting, training, and managing staff while ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor law and fostering a strong service culture.  - Compliance & Facilities: Overseeing facility upkeep (including backup power and water systems), maintaining required licenses and regulatory compliance, and upholding safety and hygiene standards.Requirements:  - Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.  - Minimum of 5 years in hospitality, including at least 2 years as a General Manager, Deputy GM, Operations Manager, or Rooms Division Head in a hotel or serviced apartment property.  - Demonstrated P&L ownership and budget management experience.  - Working knowledge of OTA channel management and revenue management.  - Fluency in written and spoken Amharic and English.
