About Us:  For over two decades, Betsegah MCHC has been a trusted cornerstone of premium maternal and pediatric healthcare in Addis Ababa. Operating from our recently relocated and expanded facility near Gurd Shola, we are dedicated to blending advanced medical science with elite, patient-centered hospitality.About the RoleBetsegah MCHC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our diagnostic framework by collecting samples, conducting accuracy-driven testing, and delivering prompt clinical results to support quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic Testing: Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests across clinical disciplines, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Serology, Parasitology, and Microbiology.Specimen Processing & Analysis: Collect, receive, prepare, and process clinical specimens (such as blood, tissue, and body fluids) in compliance with safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols.Critical Value Reporting: Interpret laboratory findings accurately and immediately communicate critical values to appropriate healthcare providers following established laboratory protocols.Quality Assurance & Hygiene: Maintain strict standards of laboratory hygiene, assist with equipment calibration and routine maintenance, and participate actively in continuous quality improvement (QI) initiatives.Confidentiality & Documentation: Maintain precise records of test results and adhere strictly to professional standards and patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.Job RequirementsEducation: BSc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.Licensure: Valid professional license / registration from the relevant health authority.Experience: 1–3 years of proven hands-on experience as a Laboratory Technician or Technologist in a reputable hospital, medical center, or diagnostic clinic.Skills & Competencies:Strong technical proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume setting.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Strict adherence to laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection prevention standards.
