On behalf of one of its clients, People First Consult PLC is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Technical Training Manager.
Job brief
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting plant performance by designing, coordinating, delivering, and administering effective performance-based technical training programs. The role involves facilitating both on-the-job and classroom-based learning initiatives while working closely with operational leaders, HR teams, and subject matter experts to strengthen workforce capability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate technical training programs across the plant.
Update and maintain training materials to ensure relevance, consistency, and accuracy.
Prepare training outlines, lesson plans, manuals, presentations, and hands-on learning materials.
Work closely with leadership teams to identify training needs aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with HR, line managers, and subject matter experts to develop and implement training initiatives and best practices.
Support onboarding and integration of new employees into relevant technical training programs.
Utilize modern instructional methods and learning technologies, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
Establish and maintain training schedules, records, and learning calendars.
Conduct on-the-job training and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, proficiency testing, and performance analysis.
Recommend and implement improvements to training programs and delivery methods.
Required Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
At least 1 year of experience facilitating on-the-job or technical training programs.
Strong understanding of technical training methodologies and adult learning principles.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
