Role Description
The Site Engineer will oversee and coordinate construction and infrastructure projects on university premises in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This full-time, on-site role includes supervising daily site activities, ensuring work is completed according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The Site Engineer will monitor project progress, conduct inspections, and collaborate with civil and structural engineers, contractors, and university stakeholders. Responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, identifying and resolving on-site issues, preparing reports and documentation, and supporting project planning and scheduling. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with project teams and ensuring efficient use of resources to meet timelines and budget.

Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills and familiarity with field operations in construction environments.

Candidates should possess quality control and assurance skills, including inspection, compliance with standards, and attention to detail.
Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge relevant to building and infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proven experience in site engineering or construction project supervision, preferably in institutional or campus projects.
Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices in Ethiopia.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using basic engineering and project management tools.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and solve problems under time constraints.
