Senior Accountant

JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Company: Intnom Import and Export Position: Senior Accountant Employment Type: Full-Time Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia About the Position Intnom Import and Export is seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented female candidate for the position of Senior Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Required Qualifications and Skills Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a related field. Work Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger management. ·         Tax Compliance: Ability to prepare, review, and submit VAT, Withholding Tax, Pension, and other statutory reports in accordance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations. Experience in preparing tax reports, handling tax-related documentation, and conducting in-person follow-ups at the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) regarding tax filings, assessments, clearances, and other tax-related matters. Accounting Software: Proficiency in Peachtree/Sage or other comparable accounting software. Computer Skills: Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and integrity. Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Gender Requirement Female candidates only.
