General ManagerYES is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established serviced apartment hotel in centralAddis Ababa. The property serves business travelers, conference delegates, diplomatic guests,and long-stay visitors, with full hotel services including daily housekeeping, on-site food &beverage, and guest transport. The client's identity will be disclosed to shortlisted candidatesduring the interview process.The General Manager holds full operational and financial responsibility for the property. You willlead daily operations across all departments, grow occupancy and revenue through direct andonline channels, build and retain a strong team, and ensure the guest experience consistentlyearns high ratings. You report directly to ownership and are accountable for the property'soverall performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations across front office, housekeeping, food & beverage,maintenance, and securityMaintain service and cleanliness standards across all rooms and public areasEnsure reliable utilities management, including backup power and water systemsPrepare and manage the annual budget; deliver monthly P&L reporting to ownershipControl costs across procurement, staffing, and utilities without degrading guest experienceOversee cash handling, banking, and supplier payment processesSet room pricing and manage distribution across online travel agencies (Booking.com,Expedia, and others) and direct booking channelsGrow corporate, NGO, embassy, and conference-related accountsDeliver occupancy, average rate, and guest review-score targets agreed with ownershipRecruit, train, schedule, and manage department staffEnsure full compliance with Ethiopian labour law and company HR policiesBuild a service culture with clear accountability and low staff turnoverOwn guest satisfaction end to end: respond to feedback, resolve complaints, protect online ratingsMaintain all required business licenses, tax obligations, and tourism/hospitality regulatory complianceUphold safety, hygiene, and security standards throughout the propertyRequirementsBachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years in hospitality, including at least 2 years as General Manager, Deputy GM, Operations Manager, or Rooms Division head in a hotel or serviced apartment propertyDemonstrated P&L ownership and budget management experienceWorking knowledge of OTA channel management and revenue managementFluency in Amharic and English (written and spoken)How to ApplySend your CV and a brief cover letter to apply@yes.et with the subject line "General Manager— Hospitality". Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
