Role Description
The Babysitter role at Nia Babysitting Service is a full-time, on-site position based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this role, the babysitter provides attentive care to children, including supervising playtime, organizing age-appropriate activities, and supporting daily routines such as meals, hygiene, and rest. The babysitter ensures a safe and secure environment, follows family and company guidelines, and communicates clearly with parents or guardians about the child’s day and any concerns. Additional tasks may include light tidying of play areas, assisting with homework, and supporting children’s social and emotional development. The role requires reliability, patience, and a consistent, caring presence for the children and families served.
Qualifications
Ability to provide high-quality Babysitting and Childcare, with a strong focus on safety and well-being.
Experience Working With Children in group or individual settings, demonstrating patience, empathy, and positive engagement.
Skills in Training and Teaching children through play, structured activities, and basic educational support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow schedules and instructions.
Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities; first aid or CPR certification is an advantage.
Prior babysitting or childcare experience in a professional or family setting is preferred.
Ability to work full time on-site in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with flexibility to support different shifts as needed.
