Job Description

The job based in United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi 1. JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY: The Engineer – Engineering Production Support is responsible for supporting the evaluation and documentation of engine technical requirements, assisting in the interpretation of OEM documentation, and providing routine technical support to the engine overhaul and repair shop. The role ensures adherence to airworthiness standards and supports the preparation of technical reports. Working under guidance, the Engineer contributes to smooth engine workflow and continuous technical development. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Engine Technical Support • Assist in reviewing engine work scope and requirements based on OEM guidelines and customer inputs. • Support in drafting Engine Work Instructions and work scopes under the direction of a Senior Engineer. OEM Documentation and Technical Inputs • Support the review and implementation of OEM documents such as SBs, ADs, and SILs. • Draft and amend technical notices under supervision. Technical Reporting and Analysis • Assist in preparing engine reports including Induction, Tear Down, and Final Reports. • Collect and analyze technical data to support troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Shop Floor and Customer Support • Respond to basic technical queries from the shop floor and escalate complex matters to Senior Engineers. • Coordinate internally for information sharing and updates on engine progress. Compliance and Documentation • Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements across assigned activities. • Maintain records and documentation aligned with regulatory and company standards. Development and Continuous Learning • Attend technical training programs and remain updated with current OEM practices and regulatory changes. • Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and understanding. 3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES Minimum Qualifications: (Education/Certification/Licensure/Professional Membership) Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent discipline. Minimum Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Aviation, preferably within an Engine MRO environment. Exposure to at least one of the following engine types preferred: V2500 Trent 700 GenX LEAP Job Specific Competencies: Technical Understanding: Familiarity with engine maintenance concepts, OEM manuals, and work scope planning. Documentation: Capable of drafting basic technical reports and updating technical documentation with guidance. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication in English for technical coordination. Teamwork: Cooperative and collaborative in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry, documentation, and report preparation. Regulatory Awareness: Basic understanding of aviation regulatory compliance (e.g., EASA/FAA). MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis. Problem Solving: Supports basic troubleshooting and follows through on actions assigned by senior engineers. Learning Agility: Willingness and capability to learn and grow into more advanced technical responsibilities. Time Management: Manages time effectively to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
