Job Purpose To supervise and coordinate day-to-day edible oil extraction, refining, filling and packing operations, ensuring production targets, yield efficiency, and quality and safety standards are consistently achieved. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan and supervise daily/shift production activities across extraction, refining and packing lines. Allocate manpower and assign shaft operators to stations based on the production plan. Monitor key process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate, feed rate) to ensure the process runs within approved limits. Track raw material consumption, output yield and process losses; investigate and correct causes of low yield or high waste. Ensure production, downtime and material-usage records/logbooks are accurately maintained for each shift. Coordinate with the Engineering Supervisor to report equipment issues promptly and support fast breakdown resolution. Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure in-process checks are performed, and any non-conforming product is isolated and addressed. Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety procedures and good manufacturing practice (GMP) on the shop floor. Train, coach and supervise shaft operators, including onboarding of new operators and refresher training. Support the Plant Manager in production planning, shift scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure good housekeeping (5S) and safe working conditions are maintained across the process area. About You Skills and Competencies Strong working knowledge of edible oil extraction and/or refining processes. Shift and team management skills. Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability under production pressure. Good record-keeping and reporting discipline. Basic understanding of food safety and workplace safety practices. Working Conditions Shop-floor based role, working on a shift-rotation basis including possible night/weekend shifts. Exposure to plant noise, heat and processing odors typical of an edible oil facility, with required use of PPE. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or BSc in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in process/production operations, preferably in an edible oil or food processing plant. Prior experience supervising shift-based production teams.
