Job Summary The Terminal Accountant will manage financial transactions and revenue reconciliation at an assigned Smart Mobility terminal. The role focuses on reconciling ticket sales revenue, managing cash and change funds, processing bank deposits, reconciling digital transactions, maintaining financial controls, and preparing accurate financial reports. The company develops risk decisioning systems, financial infrastructure, and market linkage platforms supporting access to credit, insurance, payments, and capital. About Smart Mobility Smart Mobility is Kifiya's digital mobility infrastructure venture, designed to modernize passenger transport through digital platforms, marketplace coordination, and data-driven operational oversight. Key Responsibilities Ticket Revenue Reconciliation Collect and reconcile daily ticket sales revenue from Terminal Ticket Sales Agents. Verify cash collections against system-generated ticket sales records. Investigate discrepancies between physical cash and ticketing system reports. Record and obtain required signatures on reconciliation documentation. Cash and Change Fund Management Distribute and manage change funds required for ticket sales operations. Ensure appropriate denominations are available for ticket transactions. Monitor change fund usage and perform end-of-day reconciliation. Securely collect and store cash received from ticket sales operations. Bank Deposits and Financial Safeguarding Securely store and deposit collected revenue according to company financial policies. Prepare bank deposits for daily ticket sales revenue. Maintain secure handling and transportation of cash deposits. Ensure deposits are accurately recorded in financial records. Digital Transaction Reconciliation Reconcile electronic ticket sales, including mobile payments and digital wallets. Compare digital transaction records with ticketing system reports. Report electronic payment discrepancies to the finance team. Financial Control and Fraud Prevention Conduct surprise cash counts and spot checks on ticket sales agents. Identify suspicious financial activity and repeated discrepancies. Escalate potential fraud risks and financial irregularities to management. Ensure compliance with internal financial control procedures. Financial Reporting and Documentation Prepare daily reconciliation reports and terminal financial summaries. Maintain records of ticket sales, deposits, refunds, and discrepancies. Submit financial reports to the central finance department. Ensure financial documentation is complete and audit-ready. Operational Coordination Coordinate with terminal managers and ticket sales supervisors to ensure financial procedures are followed. Support terminal staff in resolving ticket sales reconciliation issues. Ensure proper financial handling during staff shift changes. Provide guidance on financial procedures and compliance requirements. Key Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 0–1 year of experience in accounting, financial operations, or cash management. Experience with ticketing systems, retail financial operations, or transport services is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage financial transactions accurately.
