Job Description

Goal of the function: Ensure operational parts availability for a large-scale KOMATSU mining fleet (~80 units including PC2000, HD785, D275, GD825, WA600) by executing hands-on parts planning, closely aligned with maintenance activities and site requirements, in order to meet equipment availability targets and contractual obligations. Key Result Areas / Main Responsibilities ·      Execute day-to-day parts planning activities based on maintenance plans, breakdowns, and operational priorities. ·      Translate weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly maintenance schedules (PM, component replacements, campaigns) into actionable parts requirements. ·      Maintain accurate and up-to-date parts forecasts, continuously adjusting based on actual consumption and site feedback. ·      Monitor stock levels on site and trigger replenishment recommendations to the Customer Maintenance and/or Procurement team in a timely manner. ·      Ensure availability of critical parts and components to support planned maintenance and avoid equipment downtime. ·      Work closely with the Customer Maintenance Teams and Site Manager to capture upcoming needs and validate parts requirements. ·      Follow up on open orders, back-orders, and deliveries to ensure parts are available when required. ·      Monitor and control emergency orders, minimizing Machine Down situations and costly airfreight. ·      Analyze parts consumption trends and provide practical recommendations to improve stock accuracy and availability. ·      Ensure proper use of ERP system (INFOR M3) for planning, tracking, and reporting activities. ·      Support warehouse team in identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or critical stock items.  Performance Measures: ·      Equipment downtime linked to parts unavailability. ·      Parts availability for planned maintenance activities. ·      Amount of emergency orders and airfreight cost. ·      Forecast accuracy vs actual consumption. ·      Inventory accuracy and stock availability for critical items. General Requirements: ·      Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent experience. ·      Minimum 10 years of experience in mining or heavy equipment industry maintenance or support, whereas minimum 5 years in parts planning. ·      Strong hands-on experience with KOMATSU mining equipment (PC2000, HD785, D275, WA600, GD825 and similar sizes). ·      Good understanding of maintenance planning and component lifecycle. ·      Experience with ERP systems (INFOR M3 preferred) and strong Excel skills. ·      Fluent English.
