About The Role This Addis Ababa-based Associate supports financial-service providers, fintechs and other partners serving underserved customers and small businesses. The remit brings together customer research, digital product strategy, financial modelling and project delivery, with additional responsibility for business development and Accion Advisory’s technical knowledge. Key responsibilities Research customers, markets and regulation, then translate findings into product improvements and practical growth strategies. Build business cases and models for commercially viable financial solutions and support implementation and impact monitoring. Assess potential partners and contribute to concept notes, proposals and project coordination. Document methods and lessons, and contribute to advisory toolkits and external thought leadership. Key requirements At least four years in consulting, fintech or a financial-services organisation. Strong financial modelling, analytical problem-solving and presentation skills. Excellent written and spoken English, collaborative communication and interest in technology-enabled financial inclusion. Willingness to travel approximately 25–30% of the time. Nice to have Master’s degree or equivalent and relevant technology, financial-services or social-sector background; French language skills. The hiring team is Accion Advisory.
