Company Description STEM For Kids® is a global STEM education provider focused on making science, technology, engineering, and math fun, real, and accessible for children from PreK to Grade 5. For over 14 years, the organization has supported schools, educators, and families with turnkey on-site STEM programs, and home-based STEM missions. Through its Root Protocol™, STEM For Kids® connects complex STEM concepts to joyful, hands-on learning experiences. Since 2011, the organization has impacted over 130 communities across 6 countries through camps, afterschool programs, workshops, and strategic partnerships. STEM For Kids® also offers educator training and franchise opportunities to expand STEM access within local communities. Role Description This full-time Coaches/Trainers role is an on-site position based in Addis Ababa. The individual will lead STEM learning sessions for children, guiding them through hands-on activities, projects, and experiments aligned with STEM For Kids® curricula. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing materials and lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, facilitating group work, and ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment. The role involves assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching approaches to diverse learning styles. Coaches/Trainers will collaborate with local schools, program coordinators, and families, support camps and workshops, and participate in ongoing training to continuously improve program quality. Qualifications Strong instructional and coaching skills, including experience leading groups of children in educational or enrichment settings. Background in STEM-related fields (science, technology, engineering, or math) or a closely related discipline; teaching or tutoring experience is highly beneficial. Ability to design and deliver hands-on, activity-based learning experiences and adapt content for different ages and skill levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, parents, and school staff. Organizational and classroom management skills, including lesson preparation, time management, and maintaining a safe learning environment. Comfort with basic technology tools and educational software; familiarity with STEM kits, robotics, or coding platforms is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications or training in teaching or youth development are an advantage.
