About the job
Company Description
Berry Advertising is driven by the belief that the next big thing is discovered and created, not waited for. The agency focuses on identifying emerging innovations, cultural shifts, brand ideas, and campaigns that can genuinely move markets. Berry is committed to delivering measurable business results for clients, acting as a strategic partner for brands that want to look beyond short-term solutions. At its core, the company invests in the next generation of talent and collaborates with organizations that aim to build what defines tomorrow.
Role Description
The Chief Impact Officer is responsible for ensuring that everything Berry creates delivers measurable impact—for clients, culture, society, and the agency itself. This executive transforms strategy and creativity into measurable business growth, cultural influence, and long-term value, championing effectiveness over activity across campaigns, products, innovations, and client engagements.
Purpose of the Role
To maximize the commercial, cultural, creative, and organizational impact of every initiative Berry delivers, ensuring that creativity drives measurable outcomes, strengthens client relationships, and contributes to sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Business Impact
Translate creative and business strategies into measurable business outcomes.
Define clear objectives, success metrics, and performance indicators before every campaign begins.
Monitor campaign effectiveness throughout execution and recommend improvements where necessary.
Evaluate campaign performance after launch to assess business results, audience response, and return on investment where measurable.
Present clear, evidence-based impact reports and strategic recommendations to clients.
Ensure that Berry’s work contributes to client growth, stronger brands, and long-term business value.
2. Creative Effectiveness
Partner closely with Creative and Strategy teams to ensure ideas are relevant, distinctive, culturally meaningful, memorable, and effective.
Apply strong creative judgment and an understanding of branding and consumer behavior to evaluate the effectiveness of creative work.
Challenge ideas and executions that lack a clear purpose, audience relevance, or measurable value.
Protect Berry’s creative standards while ensuring that creativity delivers meaningful outcomes.
Encourage experimentation, continuous learning, and the development of ideas that create both creative distinction and commercial value.
3. Cultural Impact
Develop and champion campaigns that influence culture, shape public conversation, and encourage meaningful audience participation.
Evaluate cultural impact through earned media, public participation, organic sharing, community engagement, cultural relevance, and influence beyond paid media.
Identify cultural trends, shifts in consumer behavior, and emerging audience needs to inform campaign development.
Help Berry create ideas that audiences genuinely connect with, engage with, and choose to share.
Assess opportunities for Berry’s work to influence behavior, contribute to society, and create lasting cultural value.
4. Innovation & Future Growth
Identify opportunities in artificial intelligence, emerging media, new technologies, consumer behavior, new business models, and evolving creative formats.
Evaluate emerging trends and technologies for their potential to improve campaign effectiveness, operational efficiency, client value, and competitive advantage.
Recommend and champion innovations that strengthen Berry’s market position and prepare the agency for future industry developments.
Encourage structured experimentation and the practical application of innovative ideas.
Assess the potential impact, feasibility, and commercial value of new initiatives before recommending implementation.
5. Business Development & Commercial Growth
Identify opportunities to generate new revenue streams, expand existing client relationships, and develop new business opportunities.
Translate market intelligence, consumer insights, and emerging trends into commercially viable services, products, and solutions.
Collaborate with Client Leadership and executive management to strengthen client value propositions, support strategic pitches, and increase account growth.
Evaluate the commercial viability, strategic value, and potential return on investment of new initiatives.
Contribute to Berry’s long-term growth by aligning innovation, creative excellence, and business strategy.
Support efforts to improve client retention, increase strategic account value, and strengthen the agency’s competitive positioning.
6. Agency Performance & Organizational Effectiveness
Drive improvements in client retention, client satisfaction, agency reputation, creative quality, operational effectiveness, profitability, and strategic growth.
Develop systems and processes that continuously improve the effectiveness and quality of Berry’s work.
Identify performance gaps, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement across departments.
Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Work with department leaders to align departmental objectives with agency-wide priorities and measurable business outcomes.
7. Measurement, Data & Intelligence

Develop standardized approaches to measuring campaign effectiveness, creative performance, brand health, client growth, media impact, commercial performance, and innovation.
Create executive dashboards that provide actionable insights into agency and client performance.
Use research, data analytics, consumer insights, and performance trends to inform strategic decisions.
Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and actions for executive management, teams, and clients.
Establish consistent reporting standards, performance indicators, and review processes across relevant departments.
Build a culture where decisions are guided by evidence and insight rather than assumptions.
8. Awards & Industry Recognition
Work with Creative Leadership to identify campaigns and initiatives with award potential.
Lead or coordinate the development of effectiveness award submissions, ensuring that claims are supported by credible evidence and measurable results.
Ensure that Berry’s work is documented and presented in line with relevant industry standards and award criteria.

Lead organizational change initiatives that improve performance, encourage innovation, and strengthen collaboration.
Promote a culture of problem-solving, informed decision-making, continuous learning, and accountability.
