Clean Air Fund is seeking a
Breathe Cities Lead
to drive ambitious action on air quality in
Addis Ababa
and help deliver meaningful improvements to public health and urban sustainability.
This is a unique opportunity to become
Clean Air Fund's first hire in Ethiopia
, leading the development and implementation of the Breathe Cities strategy in partnership with
C40 Cities
, government stakeholders, civil society organisations, and local communities.
In this role, you will:
✅ Lead the delivery of a city-wide strategy to improve air quality and public health
✅ Develop and manage a portfolio of high-impact grants and partnerships
✅ Support initiatives including air quality monitoring, public engagement campaigns, and capacity-building programmes
✅ Build relationships with city leaders, policymakers, funders, and technical experts
✅ Help deliver evidence-based solutions that improve the lives of millions of people
We're looking for an experienced leader with a background in environmental policy, public health, climate, urban development, or a related field, who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery and strong stakeholder engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in one of Africa's fastest-growing cities while contributing to a global movement for clean air.
