Country Representative – Ethiopia Company: VANZBON Global Location: Ethiopia Engagement Type: Full-time / Part-time / Project-based Cooperation Reporting To: Shenzhen Headquarters, China About VANZBON Global VANZBON Global is an international business services platform supporting companies and entrepreneurs with overseas market entry, company incorporation, accounting and tax compliance, legal coordination, business resource integration, and cross-border operational support. As we continue to expand our global service network, we are looking for a professional and well-connected Country Representative in Ethiopia , preferably with a recognized local professional qualification in law, taxation, accounting, audit, or a related field . Position Overview The Country Representative will act as VANZBON Global’s local representative and business coordinator in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will support foreign clients with company incorporation, local business reception, legal and regulatory coordination, accounting and tax-related matters, and the development of a strong local professional and commercial resource network. Priority will be given to candidates holding recognized professional licenses or qualifications in Ethiopia , such as: Licensed Lawyer / Attorney-at-Law Licensed Tax Advisor / Tax Practitioner Certified Accountant Certified Public Accountant or equivalent accounting qualification Licensed Auditor Other recognized professional qualifications related to corporate, legal, tax, finance, or compliance services Candidates with strong local resources and relevant experience but without a professional license may also be considered. Key Responsibilities 1. Company Incorporation & Market Entry Support Assist foreign clients with company registration and business establishment procedures in Ethiopia. Coordinate with relevant government authorities, legal professionals, accountants, tax advisors, banks, and other local service providers. Support clients in understanding company incorporation procedures, business licenses, permits, regulatory requirements, and ongoing compliance obligations. Assist with the preparation, coordination, review, and submission of relevant corporate documents. Provide practical guidance on local market-entry procedures and common compliance issues. 2. Legal, Tax & Compliance Coordination Assist clients with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory matters related to establishing and operating businesses in Ethiopia. Coordinate matters relating to tax registration, corporate tax, VAT, payroll, social security, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and other compliance requirements. Liaise with local lawyers, accountants, tax professionals, auditors, and government authorities where required. Help VANZBON Global’s Shenzhen headquarters understand local regulatory, tax, accounting, and compliance practices. Where the Country Representative holds the relevant professional qualification, provide professional services within the legally permitted scope of that qualification. Matters requiring a professional license must be handled or reviewed by appropriately qualified local professionals. 3. Client Reception & Local Coordination Represent VANZBON Global when receiving foreign clients visiting Ethiopia. Accompany clients to government authorities, professional firms, banks, industrial parks, factories, offices, or other relevant locations when necessary. Assist with business meetings, site visits, local introductions, and communication with local stakeholders. Provide on-the-ground coordination and practical support throughout the client’s market-entry and business operation process. Coordinate communication between clients, local service providers, and VANZBON Global’s Shenzhen headquarters. 4. Local Professional Resource Development Build and maintain a reliable network of professional service providers, including: Law firms and licensed lawyers Accounting firms Audit firms Tax advisory firms and licensed tax professionals Corporate service providers Banks and financial institutions Government and investment promotion agencies Chambers of commerce and business associations HR and recruitment agencies Other corporate and professional service providers The Country Representative will be expected to identify, evaluate, and connect high-quality local professional resources with VANZBON Global’s Shenzhen headquarters. 5. Supply Chain & Commercial Resource Development Develop and maintain local commercial and operational resources, including: Customs clearance companies Freight forwarding and logistics companies Import and export service providers Industrial parks Factories and manufacturers Warehouses Office and commercial property resources Local suppliers and distributors Supply-chain upstream and downstream companies Sourcing and procurement partners Other relevant commercial resources 6. Resource Connection with Shenzhen Headquarters Introduce reliable Ethiopia-based professional and commercial resources to VANZBON Global’s Shenzhen headquarters. Conduct preliminary assessments of potential partners, including their qualifications, service capabilities, pricing, responsiveness, reputation, and reliability. Coordinate cooperation discussions between VANZBON Global and local professional firms or business partners. Maintain long-term relationships with local partners. Continuously expand and improve VANZBON Global’s service network in Ethiopia. 7. Business Development & Market Intelligence Identify potential foreign investment opportunities and market-entry needs in Ethiopia. Provide updates on changes in the local business, legal, tax, regulatory, and investment environment. Identify potential clients, partners, and cooperation opportunities. Support VANZBON Global in developing relationships with foreign investors, local professional firms, business associations, and relevant institutions. Provide practical local market intelligence to support client projects and business decisions. Candidate Requirements Priority Qualifications Strong preference will be given to candidates holding one or more recognized professional qualifications in Ethiopia , including: Lawyer / Attorney license Tax Advisor / Tax Practitioner qualification Certified Accountant qualification CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification Auditor qualification Corporate or compliance-related professional qualification Candidates currently working in, or with previous experience at, a law firm, accounting firm, tax advisory firm, audit firm, consulting firm, corporate service provider, or investment advisory organization are especially encouraged to apply. General Requirements Currently based in Ethiopia. Strong understanding of the local business and regulatory environment. Experience in company incorporation, taxation, accounting, legal services, compliance, foreign investment, or corporate advisory is highly preferred. Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with government authorities and professional service providers. Strong local professional network, or demonstrated ability to build such a network. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Able to independently manage and follow up on client matters and local projects. Professional, reliable, responsive, and service-oriented. Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential client information. Comfortable working independently while coordinating closely with an international headquarters. Good command of English is required. Chinese language ability is an advantage but not required.
